PeopleSoft Image 43 has been generally available since July 15, 2022.  There are some very exciting new features that you should check out, like:

Benefits

Benefits Plan Comparison

The Benefits Plan Comparison feature allows your organization to provide a “shopping” experience to employees when selecting plans during their Benefits Enrollment.  Employees can view a side-by-side comparison of plans during the self-service enrollment.

Benefits Plan Comparison

New configuration also allows your organization to include plan information that previously couldn’t be captured, such as copays,  coverage amounts and percentages, or deductibles.

More information can be found in this blog:  Shopping for Benefit Plans has just gotten easier for the Employee with the Benefits Plan Comparison feature

Or in the PeopleSoft Benefits Plan Comparison Feature Overview.

Dependent Rules for Benefit Life Plan Relationships

In Image 42 we added the ability to specify the type of dependents that can be covered in a Life or Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance plan.  You can find more information on this feature in the Benefit’s Dependent Life Insurance Plans Can Now Specify Coverage Relationship blog.  In Image 43 we enhanced the Dependent Rules by providing the ability to set dependent limits, such as age or marriage eligibility, using the Dependent Rules Table.

Payroll for North America

Payroll Analytics – Trend Insights

Canada and U.S. Payroll Trends Kibana dashboards provide administrators with insight into payroll anomalies.

Payroll Insights

Each dashboard contains a variety of analytics, including bar graphs, tag clouds for Earnings and one for Deductions which shows which earnings and deductions have been used more.

The bar graphs show trends for items such as the number of paychecks produced based on pay frequency, on and off cycle calendars, payment method, and employee status when paid.  It also contains trends for earnings, deductions, and taxes with the corresponding drilldowns.  The categories in the drilldowns are links to the Payroll Trends Analytics Breakdown Dashboard that further breaks down the category into trends by monthly paygroup amounts, monthly total amount, and by detailed amounts by pay end date.

Quick Calculation

The Quick Calculation feature enables administrators to quickly calculate a paycheck for an individual employee on the payline.  The feature uses the information entered on the payline to calculate the check.  The Quick Calculation will also return any payroll error messages that are encountered.

Quick Calculation in enabled on the Payroll for NA Installation page and when enabled the Payline Quick Calculation tab will appear on the Payline.

Payline Calculation

Once the Calculate button is selected and the calculation completes, the Check Details link in the Paycheck Summary grid can be used to view the results.

Absence Management

Absence Balance and Forecast Enhancements

The Absence Balance and Forecast enhancements is a grouping of four enhancements centered around forecasting.  Three of the enhancements improve the self-service experience and the last enhancement aids administrators troubleshooting forecasting for an individual.  The first self-service enhancement includes Real-Time Forecasting that incorporates all the calculated absences, and not just the finalized absences, into the forecasting results.  Updates to the balance detail page includes columns for entitlements, takes, adjustments, and the final balance per period.  The balance can also be shown as of the Last Finalized Period, or the Last Processed Period which would give more real-time information.  The last self-service enhancement provides a message if the eligibility of a previously submitted absence would go from eligible to ineligible if the current absence is submitted and taken.  It also provides details on which requests were affected.

Forecast Eligibility

The administrator enhancement allows them to enable an Element Trace while forecasting.
