Oracle Permitting and Licensing was released on April 4, 2025, and includes useful features from our offerings, including Permits, Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, and Business Licenses. Additionally, we’re continuing with our move towards Redwood Experience, creating a more cohesive Permitting and Licensing experience along with all of our Oracle products.
New features include –
Reinspection Indicator and Reinspection History for the Inspector Application
Only available in the Redwood Experience for the Inspector Application, this new functionality allows inspectors to quickly and easily identify which of their daily inspections are reinspections and to quickly access the inspection history.
The inspection is labeled clearly as a Reinspection in the Inspection Tasks page so inspectors can quickly identify it as such.

The new Inspection history page allows inspectors and supervisors to access previous inspections for the inspection type without having to navigate to the permit or business license application details.

This quick, easy access to the history of the inspection is a game-changer for inspectors so they can quickly get up to speed on the previous inspection and what they need to look for with the reinspection.
Confidential Attachments for Credentials
Agencies can now decide if they want to allow agency staff or applicants to upload confidential attachments for credential information associated with business licenses. During upload, you can determine if you want to designate the attachment as confidential, and only agency staff with permissions, the applicant, and the applicant contacts with full print, pay, and view access can view the confidential document.
This aligns credentials with the confidential security already in place for other documents in Permitting and Licensing.
Apply Page Image Support
You can add images to your application display groups to enhance the user experience of your Redwood Experience apply page. Once you’ve enabled the Redwood Experience for the Apply Page, you can upload an image to individual display groups which helps identify the subject of the applications in the group.

Redwood Experience for the Public User Landing Page
The new enhanced streamlined user experience is now available for the public user landing page for registered public users and anonymous (guest) users. The new landing page aligns with the look and feel of the Redwood Experience pages that have been delivered for various other areas in Permitting and Licensing.

- Active Filter for Public User Inspections List
