What’s new in Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai
The EM 24ai release delivers new and innovative capabilities that help our customers modernize the management of Oracle databases and Oracle Exadata fleets deployed on-premises and in the cloud. It introduces a re-architected, modular platform, increased operational continuity, AI-based intelligent impact analysis and advisories, a state-of-the-art AI assistant, and OCI Observability and Management service integration. These capabilities help customers manage Oracle deployments anywhere including on-premises, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai modern management platform
The architectural enhancements introduced in EM 24ai enable a highly available, scalable and performant environment while helping reduce the cost and effort of maintaining the product. The new release introduces a multi-container-based service architecture. New highly available Remote Agents enable remote monitoring and management of Oracle Database targets and reduce agent lifecycle management overhead. The EM Console has been enhanced for better user experience and support for user customizations.

Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai introduces zero downtime monitoring for operational continuity
The new release introduces a new zero downtime monitoring service which provides uninterrupted monitoring, alerting, notifications, and corrective actions at all times even during EM 24ai planned maintenance. We now offer a zero downtime job system that provides uninterrupted execution of critical jobs and Remote Agent pools enable high availability, ensuring agents are always available for monitoring and management.
With these capabilities, you will never miss a monitoring alert even when EM 24ai has been placed in a maintenance window. Key new capabilities in this area include:

Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai Generative AI assistant
Interact with the new EM 24ai Ask EM Generative AI assistant using natural language to make informed decisions when investigating performance, availability, and security issues. Take advantage of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology that incorporates Oracle documentation, best practices, and expertise in context of the conversation.
This release also introduces the AI Cloud Extensions to enable machine learning capabilities within Oracle Enterprise Manager to help enhance SQL performance insights, capacity planning and forecasting by utilizing up to 25 months of historical data. This is achieved through integration with OCI Observability and Management services via AI Cloud Extensions. These enhancements can help reduce the time and effort needed to resolve issues. Customers can simplify capacity planning and resolution of hard-to-predict issues. Key capabilities in this area include:
