Why is now an exciting time to join your team?
KS: We are undergoing a big transformation here at Oracle Consulting. As we are just beginning to develop our team and explore how to create a bigger impact, it’s been a wonderful opportunity to get involved in lots of different projects and programs. There really is no set point at which we can implement Design Thinking, which has really helped our team to find ways to invent ourselves and the work we want to do.
For what roles are you currently hiring?
KS: Creative makes an impact, brings people together, and supports the growth mindset necessary to be successful and sustainable. Currently our team is looking for UX Leads, Facilitators, Design Strategists, and Service Designers.
What special qualities do candidates need to have to be successful?
KS: We are always looking for diverse perspectives and people—T and E-shaped talent. We believe these are the traits to execute in our current and future economies. We do want people who have the skills and competencies in Design Thinking, Lean Methodology, Service Design, Strategy, and Facilitation; those who know the creative process, and are flexible and open to working in a highly iterative, test-and-learn environment.
What do current employees enjoy most about being part of your team?
KS: Someone in the team recently told me, “The work feels meaningful.” I want our team to walk away feeling a sense of purpose that they are, even in small ways, creating impact on the lives of our staff and our clients.
