Oracle sets you up for consulting success

Oracle’s North America Applications Consulting (NAAC) team bridges the gap between our innovative technology and the humans who do great work with it. Read our Q&A with Keith Williams, Vice President of NAAC ERP Delivery, to learn more about his growing team and the career opportunities it offers.

Why is now an exciting time to join your team?

The consulting ecosystem has changed significantly over the past few years—this is especially true in the Oracle partner network. System integrators are still struggling to make a complete shift to the cloud, and thus transform the way they address the cloud consulting space. I feel that both NAAC and Oracle Collaboration Suite (OCS) are in a perfect position to address those issues, and gain a significant foothold in delivering client success.

Through executive leadership, NAAC is reinvesting in the tools and people to enhance a customer-centric approach to cloud consulting. This renewed focus on transformative, results-based practices provide our clients with a more robust consulting experience.

Finally, these changes are a springboard for cloud consulting change. This newly defined mission aligns well with my 25 years of experience, and helps me infuse my management consulting acumen into our approach. I’m very excited about the strategy we’ve defined, and the actions already underway.

What are your plans for building a high-performing team?

I come into NAAC aware of the quality and professionalism that already exists within the team. My focus is to support and foster an entrepreneurial spirit, geared towards client and personal success. Through individualized consideration and intellectual stimulation, we work together as a team to develop and drive a strategy that performs.

Additionally, we will work to establish defined competencies within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Delivery organization. The focus on competencies will provide the team with a mechanism for connectivity and collaboration, which will bolster our capabilities as individuals and as a delivery organization.

How will you know when your team has achieved success?

Recognition as the preeminent Oracle Cloud ERP Delivery organization, both internally and externally, would be a true marker of success. This means that the team has the tools, techniques, and education needed to provide our clients a first-class consulting experience. This drives client success, retention, and references, which are paramount to the overall success of Delivery.

Success can also be measured in the form of team satisfaction. Consulting can be a transient business. I want to provide the team with an individualized and intellectual experience with a compelling career path, strong engagement, and healthy retention.

Ultimately, our success will come in the form of client excellence, and of an enjoyable work experience that will make our team proud.
