What were your initial expectations before beginning your consulting role at Oracle NetSuite?

I started my journey at Oracle NetSuite in September 2020 after completing my MBA degree. As a fresh graduate, my expectations from the job were to get an enriching learning experience and exposure to a supportive and collaborative work environment. Oracle NetSuite exceeded my expectations through the Customer Success Associate Development program, a comprehensive training program that includes sessions on product knowledge as well as general consulting skills.

What do you enjoy about your role as a functional consultant?

As a functional consultant, I help customers successfully implement NetSuite software and provide them consultancy, based on our leading practice. I love working here as it gives me an opportunity to interact with a variety of customers coming from different verticals such as, health and beauty; apparel; footwear; accessories; retail etc. This provides me with new challenges and enables me to enhance my skill set to grow both professionally and personally.

How did Oracle NetSuite support you during your transition from student to employee?

The transition from training to practice was very smooth, we had constant guidance from our mentors and buddies. Our monthly check-ins with the leadership teams are often focused on tips and tricks to maintain a work -life balance, assuring us that they prioritize the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. One of the mantras that I have learnt from our Vice President, Kumar Amitesh, is to always prioritize health and family over work!

What’s life like socially at Oracle NetSuite?

Work is not the only exciting part here. Our team is constantly engaged to organize fun sessions and activities that break the monotony of ‘Work from Home’. While I joined the company during a pandemic and have not physically met anyone, I still feel connected with my leaders, managers, and co-workers. If I had to summarize my experience at Oracle NetSuite in three words, they would be fun, rewarding, and challenging.
