We are happy to announce Oracle Forms and Reports 12.2.1.19 is released and is available for download.

Note: ONLY Oracle Forms and Reports 12.2.1.19.0 on Linux x86-64 for (Linux x86-64) is available as of February 14, 2023. Other Unix platforms will follow shortly.  MS Windows will be delayed a few weeks. Stay tuned to the blog for more details!

Installation Highlights:

1. Oracle Forms and Reports 12.2.1.19.0 requires Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure 12.2.1.4.0
2. The Oracle JDK supported is 1.8.0_341+.
3. Below are the Oracle database versions supported by Oracle Forms and Reports 12.2.1.19.0

Target DB for RCU –
               >Oracle Database 19.14+, Oracle Database 19c Autonomous, Oracle Database 21.7+

Application Data Access and Database-Dependent WebLogic Server Features –

Release Highlights for Oracle Forms

New Features

  1. Oracle Forms FSAL SSL/TLS Certificate Importer is automated.
  2. Automatic Languague detection is added to support for unique configuration settings based on the user’s language settings.
  3. Forms Web Configuration parameter, fsalJavaVersion, allows administrators to enforce which Java version is used on the user-tier.
  4. Forms will run when required JAR’s not found with a new Forms Web Configuration parameter, ignoreMissingSaaArchives.
  5. With fsal (for non-SSL/TLS requests) and fsals (for SSL/TLS requests)s Forms applications can be launched from a web page.
  6. Forms XLIFF Extract and Merge Translation Tool is now updated.
  7. FORMS_BUILDER_FSAL_LOGGING, allows you output runtime information to a log file when running modules from the Builder.
  8. “clientDPIRatio” new Applet parameter, allows administrators to dynamically set the clientDPI parameter relative to a display size.

Upgrades

  1. Oracle Forms is now upgraded with Oracle Database 19.14.0.0 client.
  2. Oracle Forms 12.2.1.19 now Supports JACOB Version 1.18 and later.
  3. SQL Developer within FMW Oracle can be upgraded up to version 21.4.3.
  4. For Forms Java Script Integration (WebSocketJSI), Eclipse/Jetty version 9.4.5 or later is required.
  5. Form Enhanced Forms Webutil File Transfer Speeds “WebUtilMaxTransferSize” is increased to 24573.

Release Highlights for Oracle Reports

Oracle Reports is included in this release, as announced earlier Oracle Reports has been deprecated as of Fusion Middleware 12c Release 2 (12.2.1.3.0).

Because no changes have been made to Oracle Reports in the 12.2.1.19.0 release, refer to the 12.2.1.3.0 Documentation Library for information on installing, configuring, and using Oracle Reports. Download and install the 12.2.1.19.0 version and refer to this section of the 12.2.1.3 Installation Guide. Ignore any suggestions of using the 12.2.1.3 software in the guide.
