Last month, Oracle introduced AI Studio Skill, a new, AI-native builder experience for Fusion Agentic Applications. At first glance, it may look like another way to use coding agents like Codex or Claude Code. But it’s far more consequential (and interesting!) than that. AI Studio Skill gives coding agents the Fusion-specific knowledge and commands needed to build complete Fusion Agentic Applications. So developers aren’t generating generic code that must later be wired into Fusion—they’re building tested, governed runtime artifacts designed to execute inside it.
AI Agent Studio allows you to choose no-code or pro-code development paths. Agentic Application Builder, released in 26B, enables business users to create agentic applications using only natural language. New AI Studio Skill, available in 26C, allows developers to use familiar tools like Codex or VS Code. Both paths follow the same Fusion-native framework.

Build with familiar tools
AI Studio Skill lets developers stay in the tools they already use, including VS Code, Codex, Claude Code, Git, and the command line. To help developers make efficient use of these tools, Oracle provides Fusion-specific knowledge, development patterns, and commands for creating and managing Fusion Agentic Application artifacts, including:
- Public GitHub repository
- README.md file
- Release 26C Setup and how-to guide
- Instructions for incremental updates
Much more than a coding agent
AI Studio Skill helps developers assemble a full Fusion Agentic Application, not just an isolated agent. That can include specialist agents, workflows, tools, business objects, connectors, policies, approvals, enterprise context, communications, and the user experience that brings the work together. The result is a complete runtime system that can observe business conditions, reason and plan work, and act to achieve a business outcome.
Build for enterprise deployment
Coding is only one part of the job. AI Studio Skill also provides testing, debugging, and control mechanisms needed to prepare the application for real business processes. Key features include:
- Testing and simulation: Generate tests as the application is built, validate complete workflows, and use replay, synthesized data, and node-level inspection to understand behavior.
- Model optimization: Compare available AI models by quality, cost, and performance, then use lower-cost models where they produce good results.
- Deterministic execution: Use workflows and policy nodes to translate business rules, standard operating procedures, and approval requirements into consistent, testable workflows.
- Governance and accountability: Apply guardrails, preserve human oversight where needed, and trace model calls, tool use, data access, and business actions.

Deploy into Fusion Apps, not beside it
The defining feature of this builder experience is where the finished application runs. AI Studio Skill helps developers create Fusion-native runtime artifacts that deploy directly into Fusion Apps rather than producing a separate AI application that must be hosted, secured, integrated, and governed elsewhere.
That matters technically and operationally. The application can work with Fusion data, business objects, workflows, approvals, transaction services, identity, permissions, role-based security, observability, and auditability. It operates where transaction automation already happens, using the same controls and process infrastructure already in place.
What this changes for Fusion customers
AI Studio Skill expands how you can build and extend Fusion Agentic Applications without separating development from the runtime environment. Developers can use familiar pro-code tools, while keeping the resulting applications grounded in Fusion data, business objects, security, workflows, and governance. It gives you a pro-code path for building or extending Fusion Agentic Applications that are designed from the start to operate as part of Fusion Apps.
