This post details the January 2022 releases.

Exadata System Software 21.2.8.0.0 Update is now generally available.

All Exadata systems under support should update to Exadata System Software 21.2.x.0.0.

Exadata 21.2.8.0.0 is a maintenance release that adds critical bug fixes and security fixes on top of 21.2.X releases. It contains the following:

  1. Exadata Software updates for important bugs discovered after 21.2.7.0.0 released in December 2021
  2. Latest Ksplice Uptrack Updates for Oracle Linux 7 and Oracle Linux 6 with critical and security updates
  3. Latest Xen update with critical and security updates
  4. Latest JDK package update
  5. Exadata Database Machine and Exadata Storage Server Supported Versions (Doc ID 888828.1)
  6. For a detailed list of bug fixes addressed in 21.2.8.0.0, please refer to the README for Patch 33756443

Exadata System Software 20.1.18.0.0 Update is now generally available.

Exadata 20.1.18.0.0 is a maintenance release that adds critical bug fixes and security fixes on top of 20.1.X releases. It contains the following:

  1. Exadata Software updates for important bugs discovered after 20.1.17.0.0 released in December 2021
  2. Latest Ksplice Uptrack Updates for Oracle Linux 7 and Oracle Linux 6 with critical and security updates
  3. Latest Xen update with critical and security updates
  4. Latest JDK package update
  5. Exadata Database Machine and Exadata Storage Server Supported Versions (Doc ID 888828.1)
  6. For a detailed list of bug fixes addressed in 20.1.18.0.0, please refer to the README for Patch 33756467
