The Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer uses an IMAP mail server for inbound mail processing and an SMTP mail server for outbound mail processing. You can implement OAuth-2.0–based authentication instead of basic authentication for connections to the Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online IMAP server. In the current release of Oracle Workflow, the OAuth-2.0–based authentication is available only for IMAP connections to the Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online IMAP server.
Take a look at this document where it describes how to configure Oracle Workflow for OAuth-2.0–based connections to the Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online IMAP server:
Configuring Oracle Workflow for OAuth 2.0 in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 and Release 12.1.3 (Doc ID 2884072.1)
