Did you know that you can now choose to pick release only orders with existing reservations from the Shipping Transactions Form?

This is similar to what was available prior to Release 12.2.14 in the Release Sales Orders form and the Release Sales Orders SRS program.

The Prior Reservations Only checkbox is a parameter within the Release Sales Orders window (Pick Release) used to control inventory allocation.

When selected, the pick release process will only pick (allocate) sales order lines that already have a reserved quantity in inventory. If a line is not reserved, it will not be released. This option ensures that only previously reserved quantities are pick released from the Shipping Transactions Form and Shipping HTML UI.

New checkbox Prior Reservations Only; select this checkbox to consider releasing only those lines that have reserved quantity.

From the Shipping Transactions window, when you perform the action Launch Pick Release, this parameter is taken into consideration. When you select the checkbox, the application checks if the delivery details has reserved quantity, and if so, then the lines are released. If the checkbox is not selected, then regardless of whether the delivery details has reserved quantity or not, the application releases the lines.

The field ‘Prior Reservations Only’ is a criteria field that ensures that pick release process picks only those delivery details that have prior reservations. Any delivery detail that does not have prior reservations will not be picked for processing by pick release process if ‘Prior Reservations Only’ is checked. This is standard behavior.
