Prior to the introduction of this functionality in release 12.2.13, there was no formal process to update the Item status for multiple child organizations at one time from the Master Item Form.

To update item status at organization levels a user had to go through multiple iterations. There was no provision to update the item status for multiple organizations at one go.

A new feature has been added to the Master Item form to facilitate the update of Item status for multiple child organizations at a time.

Below are the steps to use the new functionality:

  1. Navigation :Inventory Responsibility -> Items -> Master Items
  2. Query the Item
  3. Go to Actions -> select ‘Item Status Change Across Organizations’
  4. New form will open with a list of organizations the item is currently assigned to
  5. Enter the new status in field ‘Target Status’
  6. Select the organizations to which you want to assign the new status (you can use Select All button to select all the organizations)
  7. Click on Submit
  8. Concurrent request “Import Items” will be launched to perform the status change

Limitations:

  1. Item Status should be controlled at Organization Level.
  2. The new action will be accessible only from the Master Items form.
  3. The functionality is not applicable for the items which are part of Item Lifecycle.
  4. Form will show only the Master organization and the organizations to which the user responsibility has access.

The below note includes a detailed test case demonstrating the new functionality within a 12.2.13 instance.
