Overview: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.15 introduces Intelligent Inspection, a strategic enhancement designed to optimize Inventory Receiving and Inspection. This feature leverages predictive analytics to streamline the dock-to-stock process and improve decision-making.
Key Capabilities: The Intelligent Inspection feature utilizes historical transaction data to calculate a Rejection Probability for incoming items. By analyzing past performance trends, the system provides predictive insights regarding the likelihood of inspection failure.
These insights are visualized within the Receiving Dashboard (Enterprise Command Center – ECC) and the HTML Receiving Workbench, enabling warehouse managers to prioritize inspections based on risk rather than static rules.
Technical Implementation: To support this functionality, two new concurrent programs have been introduced:
1. Receiving Inspection Analytics: Aggregates and processes historical transaction data to prepare the training set for the predictive model.
2. Receiving Inspection Recommendations: Executes the trained model against current receipts to identify high-risk items and generate specific inspection suggestions.
Important Considerations :
Platform Availability: This feature is exclusive to the ECC Dashboard and HTML Receiving Workbench. It is not available within the legacy Core EBS Receiving Forms.
