Are you tired of the tedious and non-efficient process of returning faulty material from an internally sourced order (ISO)?   Yes, Oracle heard it and now an enhanced process has been introduced in EBS release 12.2.11.

Just like the RMA in Oracle Shipping /OM, where it allows the customer returned material to be received, an enhanced functionality has been incorporated to return material from another organization as an ISO.  It is an integrated and single step process to the organization from which it was fulfilled.

There are no additional setups or profile settings required to use this functionality. However, few additional lookups have been introduced which will come by default in the release. Just like normal return, users will have an option to return in full or in partial. As a pre-requisite the functionality will work only when Shipping-Return (WSH-RTV) integration is turned on.

Once the material is shipped back from the destination org, the system will interface the data to receiving and create shipment headers and lines.  Creation of the return order automatically creates an RMA in the original ISO shipping organization. Matching logic will work on the new document,  i.e. rASN (Return ASN).

The new functionality also comes with provision for adjustment of Intercompany invoicing. Return of ISO(RMA) receipt transaction will be eligible for Intercompany Invoicing only if the parent/reference Internal order is across operating units and the Intransit shipment transaction has interfaced to AR.  If parent/reference Internal Order is with in single operating unit then this RMA receipt will not be eligible for Intercompany Invoice.
