This feature provides the ability to Perform the Load/Drop or Load and Drop operation from Pick by Pallet mobile page at LPN level.

Most of the WMS picking methodologies are driven by tasks. If an LPN contains 10 items in it, then there would be a minimum of 10 tasks. Warehouse user would need to perform 10 tasks to move an LPN from warehouse to staging area which takes a significant amount of time and efforts. Hence there is a need of an LPN driven picking methodology that can handle multiple items in a single/standalone LPN.

Let’s take an example of a computer table that we need to buy from Store. We have two options here, either we can buy different items like table legs, screws and bolts, tabletop, drawer channels etc. The other option is, we can directly pick the box where the whole table content with all the fixtures are available packaged in a box. We are more interested in picking the whole content at once.

The biggest advantage of using this functionality is that the customers/warehouse users would be able to save a lot of time. In 12.2.15, we are going to support Pick by Pallet feature for a Standalone LPN that contains multiple items. You can perform the Load/Drop or Load and Drop operation from Pick by Pallet mobile page at LPN level. We need to ensure that the LPN is completely allocated against the SO/WIP Job demand. User would just need to enter/scan the LPN and then click on Load/Drop and system will internally call the Pick Drop API to complete the Picking process of the whole LPN.

Note: This requirement from customer came for a Project enabled organization and hence we should test the feature in PJM enabled and non-PJM enabled organizations.

Solution Overview:
Traditionally, an LPN containing 10 different items would require the customer to complete 10 distinct tasks to fulfil a single order.
However, with the enhanced Pick by Pallet feature, customers can now accomplish this with a single LPN-level transaction, significantly reducing time and effort
