The Oracle GoldenGate product development team is pleased to announce the general availability of Oracle GoldenGate Stream Analytics 19.1.0.0.9 (Also called Oracle Stream Analytics).

Oracle GoldenGate Stream Analytics allows users to process and analyze large scale real-time information by using correlation patterns, data enrichment, and machine learning. It offers real-time actionable business insight on streaming data and automates action to drive today’s agile businesses.

This release brings the Oracle GoldenGate Stream Analytics installer distribution to the same feature set as the OCI GoldenGate Stream Analytics native service. 

What’s New in GoldenGate Stream Analytics 19.1.0.0.9?

  • Spark 3.5 and Kafka 3.7 Support
    Oracle GoldenGate Stream Analytics 19.1.0.0.9 now supports Spark 3.4.x and 3.5.x as a stream processing platform as well as Kafka 2.x up to Kafka 3.7.x as event broker. The interim release 19.1.0.0.8 also supports Spark 3.3.x and Spark 3.4.x. This upgrade includes the latest performance and reliability enhancements of the industry-leading stream platforms.  
  • Selection of Connection During Project Import 
    Users can now select existing connections when importing pipeline projects. For example, when a user exports a pipeline with supporting objects from a development environment, it includes the connections to the local development databases and Kafka brokers. When this project archive is imported into a production system, the operator can assign existing connections to production databases, event brokers, and other sources/targets. This allows an effective promotion of projects from development to test to production.
  • New Kafka Security Models
    Oracle GoldenGate Stream Analytics now supports the security protocol SASL_PLAINTEXT and SASL mechanism SCRAM-SHA-256 to define secure connections to Kafka. In addition, security protocol and SASL mechanism can now configured separately, allowing all combinations of Kafka security models.

How to use the latest version?

  • Download the patch from My Oracle Support (MOS), https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/PatchHome by searching for patch number 36155956 (1.2 GB)
  • Users of the OCI Marketplace release of Oracle GoldenGate Stream Analytics can update the 19.1.0.0.7 release following update instructions. They also need to update Spark to a supported version 3.4 or 3.5.
