As adversaries face the US and our allies on the battlefield and beyond, the best way to preserve peace and subdue threats is defense technology innovation at scale. Strategic advantage is only possible when defense organizations can leverage new, emerging technology at a rapid pace. Based on the Government Accountability Office (GAO)’s June 2025 report, it takes the US Department of Defense (DoD) on average nearly twelve years to deliver the first version of a weapon system[1]. By the time defense acquisition programs provide warfighters with a capability, it’s largely outdated.
What if there were an ecosystem of likeminded defense tech innovators, in the startup phase and beyond, that were able to leverage Oracle’s expertise in AI and the defense tech space to jumpstart their acceleration? A global defense technology initiative, the Oracle Defense Ecosystem was formed with the purpose of creating new opportunities for up-and-coming technology vendors and accelerating the adoption of next-generation defense technologies to help strengthen our national security.
Oracle can help companies break through barriers
Venture capital (VC)-backed defense firms face significant challenges serving defense customers and breaking into the defense industrial base (DIB). The path to commercialization can take years, making it incredibly difficult for defense startups to remain financially viable. Simply put, unless you’re a well-established defense contractor with previous ties to the government, chances are, you may not be able to access the resources and capabilities you need to win a contract award—things like classified offices, procurement expertise, and a past performance record.
A longtime cloud provider for US government agencies, including the DoD, Oracle understands how to navigate through government technology compliance hurdles, the procurement process, and security requirements. Our US government cloud regions have gone through rigorous procurement, security, and compliance processes to host data from the unclassified level up to Top Secret/Secret Compartmented Information (SCI).

By joining the Oracle Defense Ecosystem, defense technology organizations can leverage Oracle’s resources and expertise in defense contracting and procurement to accelerate growth and scale their impact.
At no cost to them, members of the Oracle Defense Ecosystem are provided go-to-market (GTM) support from Oracle sales as well as access to Palantir for Builders and Oracle Cloud Marketplace. Oracle is also offering dedicated executive advisors to ecosystem members and landing zones to accelerate compliance with both Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) policies. Members also benefit from Oracle University training and certification credits, access to Oracle secure office space used to support defense customers, and preferred pricing on Oracle NetSuite.

Oracle Defense Ecosystem: the first cohort
In July 2025, we welcomed the first ten members into the Oracle Defense Ecosystem. Following is some information regarding each of the companies:
