As we have seen already this year, the cloud computing landscape is continuing to reach new heights, and Oracle AI World is the premier event to witness the unveiling of groundbreaking innovations. This year’s event promises to be an exciting journey and the team from Dedicated Cloud are looking forward to sharing new innovations that we’re working on for the benefit of all our customers. Here’s a preview of what attendees can expect at this much-anticipated event.

Dedicated Cloud Explained

Dedicated cloud is comprised of two core solutions that enable our customers and partners to harness the power of 200+ Oracle Cloud services in their datacenters around the world. Let’s quickly learn what these two are, starting with Dedicated Region Cloud @ Customer (DRCC) and then Oracle Alloy.

Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer (DRCC) is a complete OCI public cloud region operated and delivered by Oracle within a customer’s data centers. Customers gain direct access to all 200+ OCI services, seamless integration with Oracle Cloud Applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, CX), and generative AI capabilities aligned to their specific data, industry, and compliance requirements.

Oracle Alloy is Oracle’s Dedicated Region offered as a private-label cloud, deployed within a partner’s data centers and operated and delivered by partners themselves. Partners become cloud providers, delivering all 200+ OCI services, native integration with Oracle Cloud Applications, and generative AI solutions adaptable to their own customers’ unique needs.

Dedicated Cloud offers numerous advantages to our customers, such as:

  • Data Sovereignty: One of the most compelling aspects of Oracle Dedicated Cloud is its ability to address data sovereignty concerns. With dedicated resources, customers can ensure that their data remains within specific geographic boundaries, complying with local data residency regulations. This is crucial for industries where data must be kept within national borders, such as government agencies, highly regulated industries like healthcare and finance, and certain sectors in the EU under GDPR.
  • Enhanced Security: Security is a top priority in the industry, and Oracle Dedicated Cloud provides unique data and security protection and resiliency capabilities. Dedicated infrastructure significantly reduces potential security risks associated with shared environments. Organizations can implement robust security protocols, data encryption, and identity and access controls tailored to their specific needs, making it ideal for handling sensitive information.
  • Legacy App Modernization: Dedicated cloud enables customers to run both legacy and cloud-native applications seamlessly, allowing phased adoption of the cloud without the need for major refactoring.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) & Business Continuity: Dedicated cloud can enable customers with strict requirements around DR to meet recovery objectives, ensuring mission critical workloads can continue to operate as needed.
  • Cloud Reselling: Oracle Alloy enables partners to resell Oracle cloud services in a seamless and efficient manner. Partners can brand, package and customize cloud solutions, providing tailored offerings to their customers.
