Oracle HYPERION EPM on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Bob Piper
Principal Product manager

We’re thrilled to announce that Oracle Hyperion Financial Planning and Hyperion Financial Management products are now fully certified to run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This certification and Hyperion’s inclusion in Oracle’s Applications Unlimited program underline Oracle’s commitment to customers utilizing the Hyperion suite. Apps Unlimited includes all product updates and Premier Support through at least 2031.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is Oracle’s Generation 2 cloud platform. It’s designed to provide customers with the best in security, reliability, SLAs, and powerful capabilities for large and complex deployments. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure beats industry performance and pricing standards, offering lower total cost of ownership (TCO) compared to on-premises deployments and other clouds, and a bring-your-own-license (BYOL) model for applications and all database services.

Oracle Hyperion: The Leader in Enterprise Performance Management

Oracle Hyperion EPM on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is the optimal place to run Hyperion EPM. Oracle Cloud provides the best security, performance, and cost savings versus on-premises deployments or other cloud providers.

A TCO analysis, based on the standard Hyperion EPM reference architecture, reveals that running Hyperion on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure costs 17% less than on AWS and 39% less than on-premises. Alliance Data Systems runs a highly customized Hyperion Planning application and has reported that they’ve found it to be half the cost to run their app on Oracle Cloud versus other cloud providers.

Taking Advantage of Cloud Flexibility, Security, and Economics

Using the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offers the opportunity to improve performance, reduce costs, and streamline operations. The ease of consumption, a highly scalable and secure environment that meets stringent regulatory requirements, and single-vendor setup for applications and infrastructure removes uncertainty and allows companies to concentrate on their core businesses.

Existing Oracle Hyperion EPM customers should discuss their infrastructure plans and product road map with their Oracle representative to learn about their options for cloud migration. Migration can be accomplished in a few weeks, which enables customers to realize immediate cost and performance benefits.
