As we look ahead to a new year of innovation with our customers and partners, I’m delighted to announce the latest advancements for Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud.
This winter, we expanded into seven new Google Cloud regions and introduced enhanced Restore Options for Autonomous AI Database.
These updates are the result of our ongoing commitment to empowering organizations to launch, grow, and protect their most critical data across the globe.
New Google Cloud regions now live
Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud is now available in the following additional regions:
- Osaka, Japan (asia-northeast2): Reduces latency and improves access for organizations serving western Japan.
- Mumbai, India (asia-south1): Strengthens coverage for India-based workloads, now complemented by Delhi NCR for continuity planning.
- Delhi NCR, India (asia-south2): Adds a second India region alongside Mumbai to support in-country disaster recovery and business continuity architectures.
- Sydney, Australia (australia-southeast1): Enables customers to deploy workloads closer to end users across Australia.
- São Paulo, Brazil (southamerica-east1): Extends Oracle AI Database availability in Latin America for improved performance and support of local customers.
- Toronto, Canada (northamerica-northeast2): Adds another option in Canada to support sovereignty, proximity, and performance requirements.
- Milan, Italy (europe-west8-a-r1 and europe-west8-b-r1): Expands access in northern Italy with two new zones, for improved performance for financial services and key sectors.
With these launches, Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud is now live in 15 regions (20 sites) across North America, EMEA, JAPAC, and LATAM. We remain focused on meeting customers where they are and providing the tools they need for resilience and growth.
New feature: Restore Options for Autonomous AI Database
We also introduced Restore Options for Autonomous AI Database. This new capability provides customers with more flexibility and control when recovering from accidental data loss, corruption, or unwanted changes, by enabling restoration to a secure state prior to the incident.
It helps reduce operational risk by enabling faster recoveries and strengthens business continuity for organizations running mission-critical Oracle AI Database workloads on Google Cloud.
