This year at Oracle AI World, we announced the latest advancements in cloud innovation and enerprise technology. Read the highlights below and subscribe to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure blog for more in-depth updates.

New High-Performance Storage Features for AI Training and Inferencing Workloads
To meet the evolving demands of high-performance AI/ML workloads, Oracle is unveiling two pivotal enhancements to our storage portfolio:
- Object Sync for Lustre Filesystems
- This new capability drives cost optimization by enabling customers to transparently tier non-training data, such as model checkpoints, from high-performance Lustre tiers to more cost-effective Object Storage. Object Sync allows users to optimize storage spending while maintaining seamless workflow integration.
- NVMe over TCP for Block Volumes
- Addressing the needs of real-time inferencing, we are introducing NVMe over TCP as a protocol for Block Volumes. This provides ultra-low latency performance, making it ideal for high-speed AI inferencing workloads. It also complements our Lustre training solutions, enabling a truly end-to-end, high-performance storage platform for both training and inference.
With these advancements, Oracle delivers industry-leading solutions to help optimize every phase of the AI and ML lifecycle—from data preparation and training to demanding real-time inference.
- Accelerating Network Performance for AI training and enterprise applications
Oracle is improving Network Performance to address the needs of the most demanding applications of the AI era with next generation Oracle Acceleron technologies: - Accelerated network performance: Helps workloads run faster and more efficiently with next-generation, accelerated network IO interfaces that are backed by Oracle Acceleron’s hardware capabilities and deliver up to 3x the packet processing power compared to previous generation shapes.
- Enhanced operations and security compliance: Enhanced VCN (Virtual Cloud Network) performance, resulting in reduced latency due to Oracle Acceleron hardware security policy application of ZPR (Zero Trust Packet Routing) technology and more.
- Line rate Encryption and zero downtime security technologies: Provide security without compromise via enabling technology to support line-rate encryption and live cloud infrastructure security patching without downtime.
Oracle Acceleron technologies are available starting now, with even more capabilities arriving on E6 compute shapes.
Strengthening Kubernetes Security with Cloud Guard Container Security Configurations for OKE
We are proud to introduce the general availability of Cloud Guard Container Security Configurations for Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE). This fully integrated solution elevates Kubernetes security by automating best practices, enforcing compliance with security settings, and offering unified visibility into risks directly from the Cloud Guard console. Engineered specifically for OKE, the new capability delivers protection with Oracle-managed security recipes, streamlined exception management for operational flexibility, and remote monitoring that preserves cluster performance.
Globally available on OKE Enhanced Clusters, Cloud Guard Container Security enables organizations to secure, govern, and expand containerized workloads with enhanced confidence—so that cloud-native applications are both resilient and secure.
Simplifying VMware Storage Management in Oracle Cloud
Managing storage for VMware clusters in the cloud is getting even easier with the new Datastore Management capability for Oracle Cloud VMware Solution (OCVS). Customers can now manage OCI Block Volumes more intuitively across VMware clusters:
- Datastore and Datastore Clusters are now first-class OCI resources, aligning logical storage with vCenter constructs.
- Administrators can easily attach or detach volumes cluster-wide in a single operation, reducing manual, host-by-host configuration.
- This feature streamlines storage operations for all OCVS environments, with special benefits for those using Standard shapes backed by OCI Block Volumes.
Datastore Management is planned to be available globally soon, helping customers simplify operations and reduce overhead.
Enhancing SDDC Operations with the OCVS Management Appliance
Rounding out our announcements, we’re pleased to introduce the OCVS Management Appliance, available in limited release at AI World 2025. Designed for seamless integration between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and VMware environments, this appliance empowers administrators to:
- Perform essential SDDC maintenance tasks, such as adding ESXi hosts and VMFS datastores directly from the familiar vSphere web console
- Configure ESXi host metrics for export to OCI Monitoring Service
- Streamline provisioning and configuration processes to reduce manual effort
This lightweight, opt-in appliance is designed to scale with growing customer needs, and future releases are expected to unlock even more operational efficiencies.
