Earlier this year, we announced the general availability of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Database Management service for Oracle databases on bare metal, virtual machines, and Exadata Cloud service in OCI. We’re excited to announce that Database Management service now supports Oracle Autonomous Databases in OCI.
Oracle Database Management provides comprehensive database performance and management capability for all flavors of Oracle databases, including OCI and on-premises, that significantly reduce the burden on database administrators by providing a full life-cycle solution, encompassing monitoring, performance management, tuning, and database administration. Database Management is part of the Oracle Cloud Observability and Management platform
Database Management service key features
Fleet monitoring and management have the following features and capabilities:
-
Unified user interface to monitor multiple Oracle Database services deployed within OCI and on-premises
-
Enhanced ability to proactively detect and identify the root cause of performance issues across a fleet of databases
-
Respond to performance and configuration-related alerts
