Introduction:
This article provides an overview about how to use External tables in Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) with BI Applications Fusion Load Plan. By default, In the BI Applications Fusion Load plan, FTS Phase scenario’s consume WLS ODI Server1 Managed Server JVM to read and process the BICCC extracted files. Instead if you want to use External tables in Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) to read and process BICCC Extracted files, refer to implementation guide attached in this blog.
Limitations:
- Applicable for Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3 Patch Set 3 Release.
- Applicable only for the Fusion Adaptor.
Prerequisites :
- Target Data warehouse Schema must be on Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage
- Object store credentials
- Create ODI Topology for Oracle Object storage.
Features :
- There can be significant improvement in the BI Applications Fusion Adaptor load plan.
- Customers can leverage External Table features provided by Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
