Workbooks provide a visual display of analyzed data, enabling users to interact with information to gain and share insights. OAS 2025 includes dozens of new features to enhance workbook interactions, including:

  1. Additional options for conditional formatting of attributes and subtotals
  2. Binding of parameters to top/bottom filters and relative time filters
  3. Static reference map layers
  4. Workbook themes to define the default style settings for workbooks
  5. Responsive design canvas layouts for different screen sizes
  6. Selection steps to filter hierarchical columns
  7. Ease of use improvements for building calculations

Auto Insights

Auto Insights uses machine learning to automatically scan data and generate visualizations that highlight notable insights. These insights help users identify outliers and other important information which might otherwise go undetected. In OAS 2025, Auto Insights has been extended to include contextual insights, which help users see trends more easily. OAS compares data selected in a visualization to the rest of the data in the canvas, highlighting relative performance through automatically generated dimension breakdowns, trend charts, and other visualizations. Insights of particular interest are easy to add to a Watchlist.

Integrations with OCI AI Services

OAS 2025 includes new integrations with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI services. These integrations make it easier to solve complex analytic problems and use those solutions to address business scenarios. OAS integrates with face detection models in the OCI Vision service, offering easier analysis of human faces and landmark locations. The OAS integration with the OCI Language service has been extended to include custom models for named entity recognition and text classification.

Extensive data connectivity options and rich modeling allow Oracle Analytics users to gain more value from data. OAS 2025 includes new connectivity options such as Delta Sharing and Object Storage. Enhanced modeling provides users additional options for enriching data and applying filters when defining datasets.

OAS 2025 improves users’ ability to organize and move objects in the Oracle Analytics catalog, offering new ways to manage hierarchical folders and move content, helping  streamline managing information. Users can also create custom groups on the Home page to provide quick access to content for easy sharing.
