Oracle Academy Tech Chat podcast episode 11 explores data-centric, low-code application development on Oracle APEX

In this episode of the Oracle Academy Tech Chat podcast, host Tyra Crockett, Senior Manager Oracle Academy North America, speaks with Todd Bottger, Director of Product Management, and Jayson Haynes, Senior Principal Product Manager, from the Oracle APEX development team about low code application development. To start, Todd and Jayson give an overview of low code application development and APEX. They provide real-world examples of APEX and the value added when users choose to run APEX in the cloud.

Todd and Jayson give valuable insight as to why faculty should teach students about APEX.  They talk about how using low code development environments can make programming fun and how it shifts the focus away from the technical challenges that developers face to putting effort into solving the business problem. Todd and Jayson also mention how APEX exposes students to databases in a friendly environment.
