Guru Oracle Academy

For many years, WEBvalto has been an Oracle Partner with a special focus on education. During their WEBvalto Oracle Guru Conference, there was an educational stream run in parallel with the main agenda. The conference gathered together representatives of higher education from Hungary together with Oracle customers and partners.

WEBvalto’s Managing Director, Tamas Kerepes, also a former Oracle instructor, opened the Oracle Guru Conference in the main conference room with a keynote, after which the audience was divided in two parallel sessions, one for the companies that are Oracle customers and partners, and one for university professors and faculty.

The educational session was an interactive stream which started with presentation of the Oracle Academy program with a special focus on the Oracle Academy Cloud Program and its implementation in higher education. The session showcased  possible case scenarios which were discussed together with an exchange of experiences from existing Oracle Academy member institutions and newly interested institutions.

The session was delivered by Miklos Farkas, Principal Account Cloud Engineer, who shared key points from his extensive experience and knowledge of Oracle Cloud, and Ljiljana Krkic, Oracle Academy Program Manager, who explained the benefits of the Oracle Academy Could Program offering Oracle Cloud Free Tier from an academic perspective.

The conference was closed with a networking session with informal discussions and refreshments.
