On March 26, 2024, Oracle Academy hosted a faculty virtual roundtable to discuss Oracle Cloud and Oracle Database utilization for teaching and learning. Computer Science and Computer Information Systems faculty from around the country joined Oracle Academy Curriculum Developer Lisa Palombo and Oracle Academy North America Marketing Specialists Shelby Hersel and Hanna Kosbab. This event provided an open forum for our faculty to discuss their utilization and best practices of Oracle Academy teaching resources with one another. Palombo was able to offer her expertise, both as a curriculum developer and former faculty.

Through a lively discussion, faculty expressed that Oracle Academy has given them access to amazing resources that are easy to implement while also providing the opportunity for their students to build needed career-relevant knowledge and skills. Faculty shared the positive experiences their students have had using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to create applications on top of an Oracle Autonomous Database. By using Oracle Academy curriculum and resources in their courses, faculty have set their students apart as they prepare to join the workforce.

Oracle Academy understands and values educators as partners who are empowered to facilitate innovative student learning. We provide free technology education resources including curriculum, cloud technologies, and software so educators can help students build the career-relevant skills and experience they need to become successful in all careers, including technology.
