Oracle Academy helps judge Outstanding Academic Achievement Digital Technology Award, Ireland

The Technology Ireland – Ibec Industry Awards Outstanding Academic Achievement in the field of Digital Technology Award recognizes an academic institution, academic department, or individual for outstanding contributions to the software sector.

Oracle Academy staff was proud to be part of the judging panel in this prestigious event, whose shortlisted entries consisted of:

  • Immersive Software Engineering, University of Limerick
  • Huawei, ADAPT Centre NL2SQL, The SFI ADAPT Centre, Trinity College, Dublin
  • TRAINRDM: Open Data for Europe, National College of Ireland

The winner, just announced, was Immersive Software Engineering.

 

Orlaith Lawton, Senior Marketing Manager, Oracle Academy EMEA, was delighted to be part of the judging panel on behalf of Oracle. “It was an uplifting and inspirational experience to hear of the opportunities and challenges faced by industry and academics and the collaborative approach which led to innovation and potential for commercial application,” she said.

 

The worthy winner was announced at the awards event on November 17, 2023, in Dublin, which was live streamed.
