In a significant step towards advancing computer science education in the Philippines, Oracle Academy has established a collaboration with the Council of Deans for Information Technology Education–NCR, Inc. (CODITE-NCR). This milestone agreement was formally established on September 7, 2023, to further computer science education in the Philippines.
The Council of Deans for Information Technology Education–NCR, Inc. was established on August 31, 2016, through the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in the Philippines. CODITE-NCR consists of deans, program heads of universities, institutions, and colleges offering computing courses and degrees such as BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology, BS Information Systems, and BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing. At present, CODITE–NCR, Inc. stakeholders include some 40 member higher education institutions.
At the core of this collaboration is a shared commitment to empower the next generation of technology leaders. The primary objective is to enhance computer science education within CODITE-NCR’s member institutions through the rich educational resources offered by Oracle Academy. Students and educators alike will benefit from a range of Oracle Academy resources, including curriculum, software, cloud services, and expertise. These resources are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge they require to thrive in today’s digital landscape and tomorrow’s careers, and to contribute meaningfully to the global technology industry.
We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of this collaboration on the educational landscape in the Philippines, as well as the achievements and success stories that will undoubtedly emerge from the institutions involved.
