Oracle Academy is advancing technology education in Rwanda, engaging educators and institutions through thought leadership at ASENTI, earning recognition for its impact across Africa, and strengthening university partnerships to equip learners with future-ready digital skills.

We have deepened our commitment to advancing digital skills, inclusion, and innovation in Rwanda through a series of strategic engagements, partnerships, and recognition in 2025.

Oracle Academy played a prominent role at the African Summit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ASENTI 2025) held in November 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme “Innovation for a Sustainable Future”.

At the summit’s education technology panel, Danny Gooris, Senior Director, Oracle Academy, EMEA, shared insights with educators on how technology can transform learning outcomes and better prepare students for the demands of the 21st-century digital economy.

Oracle Academy’s involvement also included a masterclass focused on teaching with technology, equipping educators with practical strategies to integrate digital tools into classroom instruction and enhance student engagement. The sessions demonstrated that technology in education should be inclusive, contextualized, and aligned with national development goals. The masterclass was facilitated by Oracle Academy Program Manager Lorna Juma.

Oracle Academy was also honoured with an Impact Award celebrating its efforts in fostering technology for education in Africa. This recognition reflects the program’s ongoing work to expand access to computing and digital literacy resources, support educator capacity building, and help institutions embed relevant technology skills into their learning ecosystems. The award highlights how targeted initiatives can drive broad, positive outcomes across multiple countries and communities.

As part of its impact work in Rwanda, Oracle Academy conducted campus visits and educator engagements with key academic partners, including the University of Rwanda, the University of Kigali, and the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Rwanda.

Oracle Academy’s work in Rwanda reflects a broader commitment to technology education that aligns with national priorities for digital transformation and workforce readiness. By engaging with universities and educators, Oracle Academy continues to expand access to quality computing education, empower teachers with modern pedagogical tools, and support students in developing the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.
