The Power Learn Project Academy recently celebrated a remarkable milestone, honoring 7,859 graduates under the theme “Harnessing Africa’s Talent to Power a Digital Tomorrow.” The event marked a proud moment for both the graduates, the organization, and partners, showcasing Africa’s immense potential in technology.
The graduates were recognized for their hard work and resilience in acquiring valuable skills to thrive in the digital economy. The graduation was graced by Oracle’s Annick Sakho, Government Affairs Director, Africa and Country Director, Oracle Cote D’Ivoire. She congratulated the graduates on their achievement and encouraged continuous learning and upskilling, given how fast technology rapidly evolves.
Annick added that, “Oracle Academy provides resources that equip learners with sought-after skills in areas like cloud engineering, database administration, software development, and project management. As industries increasingly demand computing expertise, these resources ensure graduates are well-positioned to secure rewarding opportunities”.
In addition to the graduation ceremony, a special session was held with 25 Power Women in Tech. During this interaction, Annick emphasized the importance of active listening as a vital leadership skill. She encouraged the group to stay ahead by skilling in industry-relevant technologies, noting that expertise in areas like artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data science could set them apart in the competitive tech landscape.
The graduates were encouraged to leverage these tools to deepen their knowledge, pursue certifications, and make impactful contributions. They were reminded that their skills could drive innovation, solve challenges, and shape a brighter future for Africa.
