Oracle Academy was delighted to have been invited to participate in the 2nd edition of the Science, Technology and Innovation Fair at Kirinyaga University held on March 16th 2023. The event, which attracted over 170 participants, provided a platform for students to present their various innovative ideas and projects, with prizes awarded to the winners.
Students were able to showcase their creativity and demonstrate their ability to devise solutions to societal challenges. Oracle Academy is honored to have been part of this event engaging with such a talented and innovative group of students. As a global technology company, we recognize the significance of encouraging young people’s innovation and creativity. During the keynote address, Lorna Juma, Oracle Academy Program Manager spoke to the students about how they could take advantage of free Oracle resources that enables innovation. She highlighted the various Oracle Academy resources available to the students such as Oracle Apex. This powerful development tool enables students to build scalable and stable applications easily and quickly, with the ability to upgrade and integrate with both cloud and on-premises systems. Oracle Apex is widely used by Oracle developers and partners in millions of applications built around the world, and its agility and flexibility makes it an excellent tool for innovation.
As part of our commitment to promoting innovation and creativity, Oracle Academy provides free access to Oracle Apex for its institutional members, educators and students. This access includes all the features and benefits of the tool, including the ability to build custom applications and integrate with Oracle databases. By providing free access to Oracle Apex and other developer tools, we hope to encourage more students to pursue careers in technology and become the next generation of innovators and leaders.
