Recognizing the value of the next generation and their potential in their future professions, Oracle Academy offers its resources to local schools in Rome and Milan, helping educators expose students to innovation tools and digital learning to learn new skills.
This close relationship with schools and Oracle Academy Italia strengthens its outreach to educators and shows students their potential for future careers in emerging and new professional areas offered in the digital and IT sectors.
In the Building the Future initiative, Oracle Academy Italia recently engaged with two high schools in the city of Rome. Thanks to Prof. Simona Benigno and Prof. Marzia Gentilini, the students of the ITIS Enrico Fermi and ITIS G. Armellini now have the opportunity to get directly involved in the creation of digital solutions in Java and cloud.
The participating students will be divided into four mixed teams, and during the Building the Future with Oracle Academy Training Labs project they will participate in these labs:
- The Cloud Academy
- The Coding Academy
- The Digital Solutions Academy
- The Sharing Platform Academy
They will have the opportunity to collaborate with each other and use the innovative skills they learn in implementing a technological solution to an issue or project.
In each Training Lab, the teams will work on specific topics in their project to experience the entire end-to-end project implementation process in a real life environment. We look forward to their innovative solutions!
The final meeting, to be hosted in Oracle’s Rome office, will see the four teams showcase their projects to each other and discuss new ideas generated by each presentation.
Finally, each Team will present its project to a Jury of Oracle Professionals, who will have the task of viewing each project, actively participate in the presentations and provide their feedback before selecting the best project and the Winning Team.
