University students in Thailand had the opportunity to attend Oracle Academy events focused on career development and Oracle APEX. The first event took place on May 8, 2025, at Srinakharinwirot University, followed by another on May 13 at Bangkok University.
Oracle Academy career path development resources at Srinakharinwirot University (SWU)
The initial event was designed to inspire and provide valuable insights to fourth-year Computer Science students at SWU. Over 50 students participated, eager to learn how they can shape their future careers in technology with support from Oracle Academy.
The Oracle Academy Career Center provides a variety of career-oriented learning resources that help students broaden their knowledge and develop essential skills to prepare for their future career journeys. The platform supports participants in pursuing Oracle professional certifications and building successful careers. Students can gain a competitive advantage by developing in-demand skills recognized globally and earning respected credentials to demonstrate their IT expertise in the job market.
Chinnawat Khottassa, Oracle Academy Program Consultant for Thailand, delivered a presentation highlighting the free teaching and learning resources available through Oracle Academy. He discussed current technology career trends and emphasized in-demand skills in AI, cloud computing, and data science.
We thank Dr. Ruangsak Trakunphutthirak, Head of Computer Science at SWU, for his warm welcome. SWU uses Oracle Academy resources to prepare students with vital technology skills for successful careers across industries.
Advancing database skills with Oracle Academy and Oracle APEX at Bangkok University
The second Oracle Academy event for students, tailored for computer engineering students at Bangkok University, focused on enhancing database skills through Oracle APEX. More than 70 students participated, learning how to leverage Oracle APEX to rapidly build scalable, secure enterprise applications.
Jirath Kamonpraset, Senior Technology Solution Architect at Oracle Thailand, showcased how Oracle APEX empowers students to enhance their SQL skills, utilize powerful database features, and effectively visualize and manage data. Jirath also emphasized the advantages of running APEX on Oracle AI Database — a secure, fully managed environment for building and deploying high-quality applications —and highlighted APEX’s pivotal role in advancing low-code development. He introduced structured learning pathways designed to strengthen technical expertise and equip students to confidently tackle future industry challenges.
Chinnawat demonstrated how faculty can request free Oracle APEX access for students, enabling practical, collaborative experience in building enterprise applications. He also introduced the Oracle Academy Application Development Foundations course, which equips students with essential skills for creating modern, database-driven web applications using Oracle APEX.
