Community college students in southern Arizona had the opportunity to attend a one-hour virtual guest lecture by an Oracle expert on December 4, 2025. The lecture, titled Bridging IT and Business with Cloud ERP: A NetSuite Case Study, facilitated through Oracle Academy, focused on how students could bridge the gap between graduation and entry level roles. Demonstrating a strong commitment by Oracle Academy to connect academic learning with industry practice and careers, the session provided an in-depth look at the crucial intersection of information technology and business management.

The event was presented by Simone Ianniello, Senior Oracle Associate Education and Change Management Consultant. Through a clear and structured presentation, Simone offered valuable perspectives on how cloud-based ERP solutions such as NetSuite serve as vital enablers for modern business strategy. By incorporating real-world examples, Simone provided students with actionable insights into how these systems are implemented within organizations, deepening their understanding of both technical concepts and business impact. Student feedback underscored the value of the discussion, noting that the practical case studies effectively demonstrated the relevance of classroom theory to real-world scenarios.

The lecture was made possible thanks to the coordination and support of Oracle Academy staff, whose dedication ensured a seamless and impactful experience for all parties involved.

The professor of the class acknowledged the significance of these collaborative engagements: “We are grateful for Oracle Academy’s continued partnership and look forward to future opportunities to expand our students’ learning experiences.”

Thank you to Simone for helping to enrich student education and strengthening the bridge between academia and industry.
