Oracle Academy worked together with our colleague Alexandru Neagu and some of his colleagues for to run Knowledge Builder sessions to help university students increase cloud awareness and understanding.

The events were structured to reflect and inform on the fact that cloud technologies have become essential in the digital transformation strategy of many companies and countries and encompassed:

 

  • An event  for university teachers, 23 March 2023
  • An event for students, 11 April 2023
  • A joint presentation to  students and teachers from Alexandru Ioan Cuza, University of Iasi, 13 April 2023

At the first event in April 2023, the team hosted a virtual Knowledge Builder session for faculty teachers from 13 different universities in Romania. The main topic of the event was a workshop delivered by our colleague Alexandru Neagu, in which he discussed the topic “What do artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the electronic games industry have in common? Cloud computing.”

The event was such a success with helping the teachers understand the importance of cloud that they asked for a subsequent separate cloud event for their students. As a result, on 11 April 2023 another workshop on cloud awareness was held for the university students, in which there was total of 68 participants.

Following this workshop, Oracle Academy received another invitation to run a cloud presentation at the University of Iasi for both teachers and students, all of whom have access to the free Oracle Academy Cloud Program to continue their learning and hands-on practice in the cloud.
