On February 16, 2023, Oracle Academy organized a student bootcamp for Nigerian students to provide a platform for them to learn about Oracle Primavera P6. For more than 30 years, successful projects around the world have relied on Primavera P6 to manage projects of any size. Robust and easy to use, Primavera P6 is the solution for globally prioritizing, planning, managing, and executing projects, programs, and portfolios. The event was attended by almost 200 students from various public and private universities in Nigeria.

The bootcamp offered a selection of expert speakers and trainers from within and outside Oracle Nigeria:

  • Darko Jurekovic, Oracle Academy Country Manager, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic

  • Kevin Kabuye, Cloud Adoption Sales Consultant, Oracle University
  • Eva McEneaney, GenO Project Manager, EMEA

Segun Ajayi opened the bootcamp with a warm welcome note where he advised the students to appreciate opportunities such as the bootcamp and learn as much as possible, as such opportunities were not available during his time as a student.

Danny Gooris presented an overview of the Oracle Academy program and called to attention the benefits of Oracle Academy membership. He motivated the students to take full advantage of the access provided by the free Oracle Academy Cloud Program.

Kevin Kabuye introduced Oracle University and highlighted the free courses offered, as well how students can attain certification and badges after completion.

The two training sessions on Oracle Primavera P6 were conducted by Darko Jurekovic. He introduced project management trends, discussed project management fundamentals using Primavera P6, and perspectives and resources that Oracle Academy provides on project management and Primavera P6.

Oracle Academy provides Institutional members and their students access to Oracle Primavera. Primavera is an enterprise project portfolio management software. It includes project management, scheduling, risk analysis, opportunity management, resource management, collaboration and control capabilities, and integrates with other enterprise software such as Oracle and SAP’s ERP systems.
