Oracle Academy engaged educators to exchange ideas, share resources, and support computer science learning, sponsoring and attending the CSTA 2026 Annual Conference, held July 13–15, 2026, in New Orleans. The annual event brought together computer science educators from kindergarten through grade 12 and partners for professional learning, interactive sessions, and opportunities to connect with peers. Oracle Academy’s participation continued our more than a decade of support for CSTA.
Four Oracle Academy team members attended the conference to engage with computer science educators and hear directly about their teaching experiences. Conversations focused on the challenges educators are navigating, the successes they are seeing, and the kinds of resources that can help them engage students and deliver relevant technology education.
Oracle Academy also led a breakout session titled “Driving Innovation in CS Education, Oracle Academy & Oracle Red Bull Racing.” The session explored how collaboration between Oracle Academy and Oracle Red Bull Racing can help connect academic learning with real-world applications of technology, data, and innovation. The team introduced new resources designed for flexible learning and invited educators to consider how they could adapt the materials to fit their learners, course goals, and local contexts.
Throughout the conference, representatives shared how Oracle Academy curriculum and learning resources provide educators with free materials spanning Java, database, cloud, data center, and more. They also highlighted Oracle Academy workshops, including interactive options that can help students begin exploring computing through projects. Educator feedback gathered at the conference will help inform future resources and support.
The conversations reinforced that effective resources must be practical, adaptable, and connected to classroom realities. They also gave Oracle Academy a valuable opportunity to learn from educator successes and better understand the support teachers need to expand access to excellent technology education resources.
