Oracle Academy UK was kindly invited to participate and speak at the CyberFirst South West conference held at the Watershed in Bristol. The event brought together teachers from numerous academic institutions and industry partners across the South West for a day filled with inspiring talks, panel discussions, and insightful contributions from various partners.

The CyberFirst programme is a national initiative led by the National Cyber Security Centre, designed to encourage more students to consider careers in cybersecurity and technology.

In the South West UK, the CyberFirst team works closely with schools and colleges to support teachers in inspiring their students through a wide range of opportunities to explore the world of cyber and tech. By partnering with some of the most innovative organizations, the programme showcases the very best of cyber, computing, coding, and all things digital.

CyberFirst is powered by an incredible network of CyberFirst Ambassadors and Industry Partners, specialists in cyber and computing from hundreds of companies, universities, and organizations across the South West UK who volunteer their time and expertise to support schools.

Oracle Academy was proud to participate in the CyberFirst South West Regional Conference, where we engaged directly with educators to better understand how partners can support their initiatives. With over 60 schools and colleges and more than 15 academic and industry collaborators attending, the event showcased increasing momentum around early careers in technology.

The day fostered meaningful discussion among teachers, tech professionals, and community champions, emphasising the power of collaboration in developing future talent. We are excited to expand our collaboration with CyberFirst across the region, with an upcoming volunteering day at a local school, presenting great opportunities to connect with students and educators.
