SETT stands for School Education Transformation and Technology, and it is the only event in Belgium entirely dedicated to the transformation of education and technology at school. It is organized in partnership with the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and UNamur, and is recognized as inter-network training days by the Inter-network Institute for Continuing Professional Training (IFPC).

The goals of SETT are to introduce teachers, school management, ICT coordinators and other educational staff to modern learning methods, digital education solutions and the school management of the future. SETT organizes two separate conferences in Belgium: in Namur on January 26 – 27 and in Ghent on March 1 – 2. Oracle Academy is presenting at both conferences this year, with almost 4,000 attendees expected at each of the events.

Attendees will be able to discover all the digital tools designed for education thanks to the presence of a hundred exhibitors who will allow them to test the latest innovations. Oracle Academy participates in the event to connect with current Oracle Academy Institutional Members present and to showcase our free teaching and learning resources available to educators who are not yet acquainted with the program.

At the interactive stand in Namur, attendees learned about the benefits of the Oracle Academy program and the Oracle Academy mission to help educators and their students to view data in new ways, discover insights, and unlock endless possibilities.

We also showcased how Oracle’s Cloud technology works in the real world with an example from Oracle Red Bull Racing. Oracle Red Bull Racing runs billions of race-strategy simulations on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), helping give drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez their best chances to win. Oracle Academy provides all our members with free access to OCI aligned with a comprehensive cloud teaching curriculum, including some resources centered around Red Bull Racing. The Oracle Academy Member Hub provides educators access to all the resources they need in one state-of-the-art, member-centric teaching and learning platform.

Our Benelux program manager Debbie Boetzkes hosted the booth at the conference, and was delighted at the interest shown by the attendees in our program. She is looking forward to hosting the next event in Ghent in March.
