We were delighted to host Oracle Academy Day live in Serbia, on May 29, 2023, in the Hyatt Hotel Belgrade, after four years since our last in-person event. Some members with 10 or even 15-plus years of experience with Oracle Academy in Serbia attended the event, shared their experiences, and enjoyed very productive discussions in person.
The conference was opened by Ljiljana Krkić, Oracle Academy Program Manager for Serbia, Montenegro, Hungary and Bulgaria, who shared the main concepts and practices of Oracle Academy. This was followed by the presentation of Oracle Academy resources by Dusa Vukovic, Oracle Academy Instructor for Serbia and Montenegro. A number of Oracle Academy faculty members from Kragujevacka gimnazija, Matematicka gimnazija, Fakultet tehnickih nauka u Cacku, and other member institutions spoke about their experiences with Oracle Academy.
The audience was interested to hear from Tamas Kerepes, owner of Webvalto Kft Hungary, and former faculty assistant from the Electrotechnical faculty in Belgrade. Oracle’s Senior Account Cloud Engineer, Milos Zivadinovic, spoke about Oracle Cloud solutions, and the Oracle Academy Cloud Program, and emphasized how cloud computing can advance education in the classroom. Lots of practical details, guidelines and advice were shared during the conference, including Oracle Red Bull Racing Education Bytes, Oracle Academy Career Center, different full curriculum courses, and more.
The event was dynamic, with engaged attendees and a lot of questions and discussions. Some of the comments from the conference included:
