The Oracle Academy Low Code Cloud Development Contest, held in February 2025, was a dynamic web development and cloud deployment competition for students across various streams. Hosted by GGITS, Jabalpur, India, the contest invited students to create web solutions utilizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources.
This one-month Oracle Cloud Development drive saw enthusiastic participation from students of the three Gyan Ganga Group of Institutions (GGITS, GGCT, and GGCE). Around 1,000 students registered for an Oracle Cloud Free Tier account through Oracle Academy, creating innovative web solutions using Oracle’s suite of cloud technologies. The participants had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with trending cloud technologies like Access Compute VM, Oracle APEX, SQL Developer, storage solutions, website development, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
The competition also included mentoring sessions by Oracle experts, Mr. Patrick Solanki and Ms. Ritu Chaturvedi, who guided students through the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and how to deploy web solutions. These mentoring sessions provided students with the technical knowledge and industry insights necessary for developing impactful cloud solutions.
The contest challenged participants to develop web solutions that addressed significant societal problems in various categories such as Security & Surveillance, Clean Water, Agriculture & Rural Development, Healthcare, and more. This hands-on project-based competition provided students with a unique opportunity to contribute to solving real-world challenges through innovative technology solutions.
The contest concluded with a Winners Announcement Ceremony. The top five projects were celebrated during the ceremony, with the winners receiving cash prizes and recognition for their outstanding work. The winning projects included:
