“Change has begun.” The words of Eman Rus, one of the most followed influencers by Gen Z, opened the second edition of the conference Futuramente. The event took place on May 13, 2025, at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in Milan, Italy, with 1,500 young people in attendance in the three halls of the event, and in 35,000 live streaming views from all over Italy.

The main themes from the many panels to a varied and curious audience included quality education, gender equality, meaningful well-paid work, and ecological transition, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 United Nations Agenda.

The preconditions for change were visible from the early hours of the event when the real protagonists were the attending students. The Futuramente conference is a space for listening, confrontation, and co-design to imagine together a more just, sustainable, and inclusive tomorrow.

STEM and technology skills are an educational theme of particular interest to students and educators, who are aware that in Italy and Europe about 40% of students are lacking basic digital skills.

Oracle Academy helps bridge that skills gap by providing a free philanthropic educational program for educators and their students with free academic curriculum, software, cloud access and more. The program generated considerable attention from the students present in the Aula Magna of the Catholic University of Milan.

Roberta Battagli, Oracle Academy Program Manager for Italy, described to students all the free curriculum offerings of the Oracle Academy platform that allows educators and their students to learn digital skills that are constantly changing and necessary to prepare students for their futures.

The Oracle Academy platform contributes to the growth of the skills of young Italians in all areas, from large cities to rural or more isolated areas, to meet the challenge of improving STEM education in Italy and creating greater attention to the technology skills necessary for an increasing number of professions across industries.
