The 33rd Edition of the World Education Summit (WES) 2025 was recently held in New Delhi, India, August 19-20, 2025. WES, known as Asia and the Middle East’s premier event on innovation in education, is celebrated for its industry excellence and serves as a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas and exploring growth opportunities.

Oracle Academy was one of the Gold Partners for this year’s event and was honored with an award as the Global Leader in Digital Education in Database & Cloud Computing. This significant recognition at the event underscores Oracle Academy’s global commitment to fostering technological growth and innovation. Through WES panel discussioncollaborations with educational institutions and NGOs, Oracle Academy provides free tools and training to educators, empowering them to engage, inspire, and prepare students to become future technology innovators and leaders. This award is a testimony to the efforts of the Oracle Academy South Asia team and the trust that Oracle Academy collaborators have in our offerings.

The two-day event brought together key players from various educational institutions, EdTech organizations, and government representatives. It featured over 300 speakers, more than 10 panel discussions, four-plus roundtable sessions, and five-plus partner exhibitions.

Sanjeev Chauhan, OracleDuring this year’s event, Sanjeev Chauhan, Vice President – Technology Solutions Engineering, Oracle, delivered a keynote speech sharing transformative perspectives on how cloud technologies and digital innovation are redefining the future of education—empowering institutions with smarter solutions, scalable infrastructure, and enhanced learning experiences. Anuradha Sharma, Head of Oracle Academy, South Asia, took part in a few engaging and insightful panel discussions: “NEP 2020 and the $5 Trillion Dream: Can Education Deliver Economic Acceleration?” as a moderator and “Degrees with Direction: Integrating Skill DNA into the Heart of Higher Education” as a panelist. She highlighted industry-academia collaboration and how Oracle is supporting educators to enhance their teaching and learning experiences through Oracle Academy.

As part of the event, the organizer facilitated two exclusive interviews: one virtual with Damian Haas, Regional Director, Oracle Academy JAPAC, and the other in-person with Sanjeev Chauhan, Vice President – Technology Solutions Engineering.
