Oracle Database 26ai Certification
Beginning October 2025, Oracle Database 23ai transitions into Oracle AI Database 26ai. To ensure a smooth experience, Oracle WebLogic Server releases 14.1.1, 14.1.2, and 15.1.1 are now officially certified with Oracle AI Database 26ai. We encourage you to consult the Oracle Certification Matrices for the most up-to-date compatibility details.
JDBC Driver Support and Compatibility
- WebLogic Server 14.1.2 and 15.1.1 come bundled with JDBC 23ai drivers, while 14.1.1 includes JDBC 19c drivers.
- These bundled drivers provide full support for Oracle AI Database 26ai, with no configuration changes or additional patches required for connectivity.
For WebLogic Server 14.1.1.0, certification is also available with JDBC 23ai drivers. For instructions on updating WebLogic Server to use the JDBC 23ai driver, please refer to My Oracle Support (MOS) Doc ID 3053204.1 .
Future Updates and Maintenance
Oracle provides quarterly updates to the JDBC 23ai drivers included with WebLogic Server 14.1.2 and 15.1.1. Look out for the JDBC 23.26ai driver update in the January 2026 Critical Patch Update (CPU) cycle to stay current with the latest features and security enhancements.
Additional Compatibility Details
- Fusion Middleware 14.1.2.0 and Oracle Identity Management 14.1.2.1.0 users who utilize the Repository Creation Utility (RCU) will require Patch 38391376 for compatibility with Oracle AI Database 26ai.
- All existing WebLogic integrations and capabilities with Oracle Databases are maintained with Oracle AI Database 26ai.
