On Feb 5 2022, Oracle released WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware Infrastructure (FMW Infrastructure) images in the Oracle Container Registry (OCR) with the January 2022 Patch Set Update (PSU), Critical Patch Updates (CPUs), and two additional Log4j overlay patches applied. These images contain WebLogic Server 12.2.1.3, 12.2.1.4, and 14.1.1.0 and FMW Infrastructure 12.2.1.3, and 12.2.1.4 binaries with PSUs, CPUs, and Log4j overlay patches already applied.

A list of patches applied to WebLogic Server and FMW Infrastructure images can be found at Oracle Container Registry under middleware/weblogic_cpu or middleware/fmw-infrastructure_cpu repositories. Detailed information for these patches is provided in MyOracle Support (MOS) in the “Critical Patch Update (CPU) Program Jan 2022 Patch Availability Document (PAD)” (Doc ID 2817011.1).   You can link to the WebLogic Server section of this MOS document to identify information on the specific patches applied to these images. 

For detailed information how to pull these images from OCR refer to the blog Patched WebLogic Images Available in Oracle Container Registry.  Oracle will re-create and publish WebLogic Server and FMW Infrastructure images every CPU cycle. We hope that the release of these patched images facilitates the creation of WebLogic Server multi-server domains or a single server domain running in Containers or Kubernetes in secured environments.
