What Continuous Innovation Means for Your Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2

Oracle E-Business Suite customers historically have adopted new versions of middleware technology along with a new applications code level via a major release upgrade. Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 is now committed to a Continuous Innovation release model, as are the other Applications Unlimited products. The Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 release decouples the update of middleware technology from the update of applications functionality. Once running on 12.2, you can take new application updates while retaining your current version of middleware technology. When there is an update of the middleware technology, you can apply the update while retaining your current applications code level.

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 customers can take advantage of ongoing delivery of new functionality, such as the new and enhanced Oracle Enterprise Command Centers announced in April. The Oracle Enterprise Command Center release includes 19 command centers and 62 discovery-oriented dashboards that help users identify and act on priorities without custom operational reporting. Fully integrated with Oracle E-Business Suite ERP and SCM applications, the dashboards allow you to bring together diverse operational data from across Oracle E-Business Suite. With tools and visualizations such as actionable indicators, tag clouds, interactive charts, and consumer-like search and filters, you can browse and drill on whatever engages your attention, revealing new information on which to base next discovery steps. Through this “conversation with the data,” you can quickly narrow in on transactions that matter the most, and then seamlessly transition to detailed transaction screens to take immediate informed action, optimizing operational decisions and improving process efficiency.
