Oracle CloudWorld 2024, came to a close last week in Las Vegas and it did not disappoint with the usual big Oracle announcements, surprises and great customer success stories.

As expected, the event showcased the latest advancements in AI, cloud technology and provided a platform for industry leaders to share their insights on how these cutting-edge technologies are transforming their business.

Here’s a roundup of the key highlights from this year’s conference that relate to Siebel CRM:

Siebel CRM Product Council

We kicked off CloudWorld with our Siebel CRM Product Council at the Venetian Hospitality Suites. A fantastic day where we covered key topics:

For the second year running Siebel CRM customers featured on Safra Catz keynote. Last year we heard from TIM Brazil, this year BNP Paribas and Entel took center stage.

Throughout the week we also heard presentations from Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation and Izzi Mexico.

Our innovative partners we’re also highlighting innovation and business transformation success with Siebel CRM – notably Accenture, TCS, IBM and Cubastion.

A special mention should also go to our innovation partner – Ideaport Riga. They have been leading the way with Generative AI solutions for Siebel CRM, all of which were on full display in the exhibition hall. Their demo booth showcasing intuitive Redwood UX and their low-code GenAI open-source solution for Siebel CRM.

Announcing Digital Business Experience for Communications

One of the most complex and demanding industries is Communications. At CloudWorld, Oracle Communications Digital Business Experience was announced for general availability. This new solution delivers leading concept-to-cash-to-care capabilities to unlock new revenue opportunities, taking advantage of AI-powered applications.

At the heart of the new Oracle Digital Business Experience solution is Siebel CRM. Along with enhanced customer 360, there is commercial and billing product catalog, configure-price-quote (CPQ) and order capture, central order management, and monetization capabilities. The integration of these best-of-breed capabilities can help CSPs grow revenue, deliver hyper-personalized customer experiences, and remain operationally agile and efficient as they explore new market opportunities.

Magnificent Multi-Cloud

It is common for our customers who are looking to adopt cloud Infrastructure for their Siebel CRM, to adhere to geographic or regulatory requirements, or that IT has already approved a cloud vendor. Therefore, Oracle’s distributed and multi-cloud strategy provides Siebel CRM customers with the flexibility to choose where and how cloud services are delivered to meet their regulatory, performance, and other data residency needs.

Prior to CloudWorld, Oracle announced a partnership with Google Cloud. Then the “mic drop” moment came on day 1 as Oracle and Amazon Web Services announced their strategic partnership.

Oracle is now collaborating with AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure to help customers accelerate their application migrations and modernizations.

Oracle Database@AWS, Oracle Database@Azure, and Oracle Database@Google Cloud give customers direct access to Oracle Database services running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and deployed in AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure data centers, respectively.

These strategic partnerships enable customers to combine cloud services from multiple clouds to optimize cost, functionality, and performance. It also removes obstacles for Siebel CRM customers to move their workloads to the cloud, providing more choice, deploying directly in the datacenters of the four largest hyperscalers.

Artificial Intelligence

We are proud to announce the imminent availability of the Siebel AI Framework in this months 24.9 Release Update. This is a flexible, extendable framework for consuming Oracle AI services, including Generative AI.

  • Built-in pre-trained classic AI and Generative AI use cases.
  • Extend into wide range of use cases.
  • Invoke use cases from Siebel UI/components like WF, script/externally via REST API.
  • Output surfaced seamlessly in the flow of work.

Looking into the bigger picture, Oracle is bringing AI into everything, every part of the stack from the chips to the customer, all of which is high leverage for Siebel CRM.

  • OCI Generative AI RAG Agent – enabling customers to access Oracle Database 23ai AI Vector Search and run fast similarity queries on enterprise data stored in the database.
  • Oracle Code Assist – build and optimize applications written in modern programming languages including JavaScript
  • Embedded AI in Fusion Apps – over 50 AI agents covering a wide variety of use-cases to ensure big productivity boosts across finance, supply chain, HR, sales, marketing and service.
  • AI-Centric Development – with Oracle database 23.ai developers to harness the power of AI to generate modular and evolvable enterprise applications.

Exciting times head, the leading innovations with Oracle’s platform and applications are complementary to Siebel CRM.
