Oracle’s FY25 CloudWorld Tour traveled to 21 cities worldwide and brought customers right to the cutting edge of cloud, data, and AI innovation. It also brought participants a new opportunity to go beyond doing business—by volunteering to make a positive social impact.
Oracle’s commitment to social impact was palpable in Austin, Mumbai, London, São Paulo, and Mexico City. In each host city, Oracle Volunteers engaged conference participants in hands-on activities benefitting local nonprofits supported by Oracle philanthropy.
Together, we packed school supply kits and hygiene kits, supported vulnerable communities, promoted health, and encouraged the learning and development of both young children in school and young adults about to enter the workforce.
Here’s how we made a difference:
-
Austin, USA: Packing compassion in record time

In Austin, in just one hour, over 800 care kits were packed for people experiencing homelessness. These kits supported Foundation Communities, a local Oracle grantee, that provides stable housing to low-income individuals and families and helps them achieve educational success, financial stability, and healthier lifestyles.
“As CloudWorld Tour participants and Oracle Volunteers worked together to assemble personal care packages for people in need, we transformed the idea of social impact into action,” says Fernanda Bravo, a Business Process and Enablement Services Specialist and Oracle Volunteer.
-
Mumbai, India: Creating the future for girls

In Mumbai, our volunteering activation benefitted local Oracle grantee, Going to School, and specifically their program called Outdoor School for Girls, where girls learn football (soccer), as well as technology skills, design thinking, and problem-solving skills—all outdoors.
CloudWorld Tour participants and Oracle Volunteers assembled 500 football kits for girls. “Going to School’s mission aligns with Oracle’s focus on education and young people,” says Shailender Kumar, Oracle India’s Managing Director who joined the kit-packing activity. “As a technology leader, helping young people develop their confidence and creativity through technology education and design thinking is a big part of how we innovate. The volunteering activity enhanced the conference for everyone and showed how our positive impact extends far beyond the business.”
-
London, UK: Bringing confidence and career-readiness to youth

The CloudWorld Tour’s stop in London’s saw the assembly of 500 student supply kits for The King’s Trust. This local Oracle grantee helps young people get ready for careers as tomorrow’s healthcare workers, sports coaches, fashion designers, builders, and more.
Each kit included a note—handwritten by the conference participant who assembled the kit—designed to inspire the young recipient’s confidence as they take their first steps into careers. Executives from Oracle’s UK leadership team pitched in with Oracle customers, many of whom said they were so inspired by the volunteering activity that they planned to emulate it within their own organizations.
-
São Paulo, Brazil: Supporting education for all with a personal touch

In São Paulo, CloudWorld Tour participants assembled another 500 student supply kits, this time for young children supported by Casa do Zezinho. This local nonprofit is dedicated to uplifting socially vulnerable families and communities, and Oracle Volunteers have a long history of engagement with the organization.
Conference-participants packed each kit with items essential to learning and went above and beyond by writing personal messages of encouragement to the children. One Oracle Volunteer, Frank Bastos, Public Sector Sales Manager, shared the impact of kit-packing alongside Oracle customers and executives, saying, “This opportunity strengthened bonds, allowed us to share values, and demonstrate that our work can help be a bridge to a better world.”
-
Mexico City, Mexico: Collaborating for care through volunteerism

In Mexico City, Oracle Volunteers hosted a volunteering station where CloudWorld Tour participants assembled 500 dental hygiene kits for Fundación Lazos, a local organization working to improve quality of life for underserved children.
The station quickly became a hub of activity and connection for participants. Many said it was their first volunteering experience and expressed how rewarding it felt. Erik Peterson, General Manager of the Oracle’s Mexico Development Center, rolled up his sleeves and joined customers to pack kits for the cause. “It was inspiring to see the CloudWorld Tour’s stop in Mexico become a space where we give back to improve community health,” says Erik. “It’s important because of the direct impact of the help provided and the visibility of the good actions we carry out.”
This year’s CloudWorld Tour was more than a celebration of cloud, data, and AI innovation. By inviting participants to volunteer for great causes that Oracle supports, it made our commitment to philanthropy prominent and tangible. And, it turned tour stops into opportunities for local hearts to make a positive social impact.
