How instant preview speeds file review
Instant Preview gives you a fast, read-only view of attachment contents. It helps you confirm what a file contains without downloading and saving it locally first. The original file remains protected. Preview is for viewing only. If you need to modify a document, you still download it, edit it locally, save the updated version, and upload it back.
The feature is supported in both Aurora and Redwood themes. In Redwood, file content opens in a drawer panel, while in Aurora it opens in a pop-up window.
How multi-file download reduces repeated work
Multi-file Download addresses the second major source of friction: collecting several files from the same business context. Instead of downloading each attachment one by one, you can select multiple files and download them in a single operation. This is useful when you need to gather several documents from an email, account, contact, opportunity, order, activity, or service request. When you download multiple files, they are packaged into a ZIP file.
How to configure
Preview and Multi-file Download are enabled out of the box for these attachment applets: Account Attachment Applet, Activity Attachment Applet, Comm Inbound Item Incoming Attachments List Applet, Contact Attachment Applet, Opportunity Attachment Applet, Order Entry Attachment Applet, and Service Request Attachment List Applet. You can also enable the capability for additional attachment list applets, such as Quote Attachment Applet, by adding the required Manifest entries.
